These are great winter pants! They are old school winter pants; very well made, sturdy, thick, baggy in the legs (like outdoor pants should be), contain buttons for suspenders and are incredibly warm (for all but the coldest environments. They are not as thick as their cargo pants and heavy weight pants, but do not be fooled, they are a great pair of pants for hiking, working and hunting. These pants are an investment and will provide years of great service. One thing though, as mentioned by other reviewers, order one size larger than you normally would, as they tend to run one size smaller than what you would normally wear.
