I am going to start by stating that I qualify for the "big and tall" category as a 6'3 260lb woman. I also have back issues (no surprise to anyone in this category) and have been looking high and low for a chair that is supportive but also well cushioned. It seems to be a difficult thing to find right now, of having seating that is cozy and comfortable. There was a single 5* review when I found this chair, and no actual review either, just 5 stars, so I took a chance.I went with this chair because it was the only one I could find that used coil springs in the seating rather than just memory foam. Don't get me wrong, memory foam is great, in the right setting. For a bed, sure, a pillow, yes please, but a chair that has a small area of contact, that foam doesn't stand a chance to hold up for very long.I only just put together this chair, so I will update if things change.The assembly is very easy, though it's the first time I actually put the legs on the base myself. I found that odd, but you can feel it is made with durability in mind. I would say high quality, but faults can hide in any alloy. The wheels are nothing but the standard, I would recommend replacing them with roller blade wheels if you want to move around easily.My very first impression of this chair after assembly, is it's much smaller than I anticipated. It looks like a miniature next the office chair it is replacing. The seat is smaller in both width and depth and if I lean my head back without tilting, it is over the headrest. The arms are nicely padded (which I love) though seem to sit higher than normal. This might be a plus to some and a negative for others, it depends on your proportions. I am considering removing them and just putting in a metal brace for support.The seat itself is comfortable. It gives, but is supportive. It's not overly hard, but not cushion-y soft either. I've had many other "ergonomic" chairs completely fail in this department, feeling like I was sitting on a shaped concrete slab, so I'll take this as a win so far. I have the back just slightly reclined, and there is some amazing lumbar support right where I need it. The foot rest seems flimsy, but time will tell. The only current negative is that the bars that extend the foot rest hit my calves when I put my feet under the chair. That might change when I get roller blade wheels installed as they tend to make the chair slightly taller. I have not tried the massage feature yet, it's not a reason why I bought this chair, but I will update when I find the time to play with it.
