We ordered 8 of these, two sets of three and one of the two bookcase sets. To anyone considering them: they look fantastic once they're unboxed and set up. Solid wood except for the veneer panels in back which wasn't a big deal for us. If you have ceilings less than 9' tall, do not buy these! They are just shy of 8' tall and tipping them upright will give you problems if you don't think about ceiling height first.Getting them involved coordinating with a last mile freight company who thought it appropriate to send out one guy to unload the ~170lb boxes all by himself. He looked like he was going to die by the time he got them all into our garage. Getting them into the house was another matter entirely and we ended up calling a local moving company for help there. Do not attempt to move these with less than two people, and preferably with a furniture dolly to help. The bookcases are remarkably well packaged and stuffed in enough styrofoam and cardboard to fill a small dumpster.Your end experience will depend greatly on the freight process and how well they survive the journey but at least the manufacturer has done what it can to prevent most damage. A couple of our boxes made me all but certain I was going to have to return them based on how beaten up they looked but the packing did its job.
