Both were gifts n both people who received them loved that they were super soft n roomy without being too big.I'm really not sure who needs a hood on a bath robe, and I should have paid more attention when I ordered it, because I didn't realize it came with a hood until it arrived on my doorstep. But it is otherwise great! I searched high and low for a terry cloth bath robe in any size, eventually just buying a fleece one in standard, "one-size". But here's the thing: I am a 6' tall, 300 lb. man. I needed MORE! And this is so great because I finally have a robe that covers my body. Regrettably, it wants to cover my head, too. And if I leave it down, the hood just becomes a bunch behind my neck, so comfortably "lounging" in it is troublesome.Well made, heavy and very absorbent. I usually wear a 3xl shirt but I wanted somthing oversized for coverage, so I ordered a 6xl. Wow, it's big...easily overlaps hip to hip, doubling the robe in front....I love it. One thing I didn't expect, it's creates a ton of lint, both in the washer and dryer...wash it alone for at least 4-6 wash/dry cycles...I love how big it is. I use it like a blanket in my recliner. I only wish the inside was softer than it is.The perfect bathrobe. I bought it a size larger than I needed because I wanted it baggy. I’m shocked and glad they make robes this big. If you want to feel like a very comfortable wizard or Jedi, get this robe. It rocks. This robe is the same quality as my old robe that I used well over 15yrs. It was past time for a replacement. I think a 3x size would have been perfect for me, but after I tried the 2x of another brand, and it barely fit round my waste let alone crossover, I decided to get a 4x. As you can see in the attached photo it fits and then some. I find that I like that. When I put on a robe I like feeling like I'm wrapped in a warm blanket. Also you're often wrapping this over clothes & PJs and such so going over size is way better than too small. I love this thing. We'll be together a long time.I wish KingSize or anyone would make a THICKER material robe because this feels like "just barely enough" and the stitches have yet to be tested with time and use. I have one from another discontinued brand that isn't quite as large as this 4XL one which is why I got this for the extra fabric to envelope me after a hotbath without me bits popping out and terrifying the gentry. Definitely a good amount of drape and overlap at the front so you can relax with your knees apart a bit while laying down. Overall a worthwhile value but as a recommendation, make the front panels just a few inches wider for even better "retention" especially towards the upper chest area (they slide with only the tied belt to hold them in the general placement) and work on making the pockets have a more natural positioning at the sides as they're too towards the center to function as casually-inserted handwarmers (make pockets wider too, I guess, and a little deeper). Imagine the pockets starting at the side-seam and extending about halfway to the center-opening on each frontpanel and then a bit deeper to keep a spare 357 and a pack of smokes without concern of your lighter falling out. This is KingSize and sometimes a King just wants to wear a robe and carry stuff. Make these more kingly and worthy of the name!So yes, thicker material, deeper-outwardly-positioned pockets, and just a tad more width on front panels per size for a more luxurious, enveloping fit.So I'm a 6ft big gal with long arms. All long sleeve clothing fit like 3/4 length, and "floor length" hit me mid calf. I was wanting a big fuzzy oversized robe to totally envelope me and this was it! It arrived and I was shocked how freaking heavy this thing is, the sleeves end past my fingers which I love because well, 1.) No more cold arms and 2.) Im a child and like to sleeve slap my loved ones. This robe also hits the floor to where if I bend over I'll step on it, but I'm so happy I found something long enough I'll take a few face plants into the wall. Also the belt on this thing is super long, it gives the cat great enjoyment, I find that if I wear the robe in the kitchen the cat will latch on and if I spin around a few times I can get the sweeping done while making coffee. Win win!So ya I'm delighted with this robe. It is very warm though, its not something you will want to wear in summer, or maybe you will, who am I to judge. So anyway this has been my sworn testimony, the whole truth and nothing but the truth....seriously I really do sleeve slap people, I'm a complex women. It was a gift, he loves it, excellent material, nice and cozy
